Google Earth Help

Because fatal traffic crashes are updated weekly, the Ohio State Highway Patrol suggests that you do not save crash maps when prompted upon existing Google Earth.

Google Earth stores data on the map in layers. Both the 2005 and 2006 Fatal Crashes are individual layers that can be viewed in Google Earth. If you have previously accessed and saved any of the Google Earth fatal traffic maps from this site, you may have a layer of crashes already stored in your Google Earth. Please click open the "Places" toolbar in Google Earth (left side of screen) and find the "My Places" or "Temporary Places" folders to see if any previous crash layers are currently installed (these are marked with a blue sphere icon next to the set name). If you have additional crash sets loaded that you do not want to see, you can remove them by clicking the checkmark next to the set name (blue sphere icon).
