OVI Arrest July 7, 2006 - Tpr. Himes, of the Patrol's Marysville Post, stops a vehicle after the driver swerves left-of-center and almost strikes an on-coming Sheriff Deputy's cruiser. The impaired driver was so intoxicated he had no idea that his pants were on backwards.

Bucyrus Post: Troopers stop an OVI driver from 1-800-GRAB-DUI on August 5, 2004: A Bucyrus Post trooper observed a driver in the wrong lane of traffic and initiated a traffic stop. During the stop, medical personnel was contacted due to the driver's demeanor. The driver was later found to be under the influence of multiple drugs and was charged with OVI.  
Bucyrus Post: Troopers stop an impaired driver on May 28, 2006: A Bucyrus Post trooper stopped a vehicle for driving erratically. The driver was then given field sobriety tests and subsequently arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol (OVI).  
Cambridge Post: Trooper pulls subject to safety from OVI driver on December 3, 2005: A Cambridge Post trooper was performing field sobriety tests on a subject he had stopped on County Road 35 in Guernsey County. During the initial traffic stop, the trooper was able to view another oncoming vehicle and pulled the subject from the first stop to safety. There were no reported injuries.  
Troopers stop impaired motorcyclist on April 16, 2005: While attempting to stop an impaired motorcyclist, troopers watch as the motorcyclist and passenger fall off the motorcycle and onto the ground.  
Dayton Post & West Carrollton Police Department: Tpr. Albright struck during OVI arrest on September 7, 2003: Tpr. Albright, assisted by a West Carrollton Police Officer, was conducting a traffic stop on I-75. While making an arrest for OVI, another vehicle struck the left rear of the patrolmen's cruiser, forcing it into Tpr. Albright’s patrol car, striking Tpr. Albright, the patrolman, and the suspect.

Semi almost hits Patrol Cruiser head-on - September 23, 2008 - A Trooper from the Swanton Post is facing westbound on the eastbound lanes of the Ohio Turnpike with his lights on trying to slow traffic for an accident ahead when a semi tractor trailer almost hits the Patrol cruiser head-on.  
Post 45 Resisting Resisting suspect has crack, marijuana and loaded 9mm - March 30, 2008 - A Trooper out of the Granville Post initiated a traffic stop when the driver failed to use his blinker. The suspect repeatedly put his hands into his pockets after several commands to not do so. Fearing the suspect was reaching for a gun the Trooper tried to take control of the situation. The suspect takes off on foot and is apprehended a short distance from his truck.  
Tow Truck Struck in Hancock County Tow Truck struck by passing vehicle during 2008 snow storm - March 8, 2008 - A Sergeant from the Findlay Post was investigating a single vehicle crash after a vehicle had gone off the side of the road. While the wrecker was attempting to load the vehicle onto the truck a second vehicle loses control on the slick road conditions and flips on its side after crashing into the ramp to the tow truck.

Post 65 DAsh Cam - Trooper almost struck by car Trooper almost struck by passing vehicle - February 18, 2008- A Trooper from the Circleville Post had stopped to assist a vehicle that had slid off the road due to weather conditions. While finishing up with the vehicle - another vehicle slams into the Trooper's cruiser and nearly hits the Trooper.  
Post 9 Pursuit Pursuit and crash October 2, 2007 - A Trooper from the Hamilton Post attempts to stop a vehicle and a pursuit ensues. The suspect loses control of the vehicle and crashes into a telephone pole. The driver continues to flee and crashes the vehicle for the second time into the front yard of someone's home. The suspect takes off on foot and is apprehended a short time later after being tasered.  
Pursuit Video Pursuit and crash September 11, 2007 - Troopers from the New Philadelphia Post are in pursuit of a stolen vehicle carrying several occupants. The driver of the stolen vehicle swerves to miss stop sticks and crashes the vehicle, then takes of on foot. The other occupants of the vehicle were arrested on the scene.  
Pursuit and crash May 31, 2007 - A Trooper attempted to stop a car for a vehicle defect and a pursuit ensued. The driver is seen throwing money and other papers from the vehicle. The pursuit ends when the driver loses control and flips his vehicle. The Patrol recovered nearly $2000 in cash along the highway and 14 marijuana plants from the suspect's vehicle. The suspect was wanted in Pennsylvania for cultivating marijuana.  
Crash Video Springfield Post: April 6, 2007 - Tpr. Leslie Arnold urges the driver of a vehicle to get on the other side of the guardrail several times before the driver and his vehicle are struck by another car along the highway.  
Mansfield Post: Car-jacking suspect flees troopers, pursuit ensues and troopers deploy taser on July 26, 2005: Lt. Michael Vinson and Sgt. Gockstetter located a suspect that had attempted to car-jack several vehicles in the city of Mansfield. During one attempt to steal a females vehicle the suspect was struck by the vehicle and went through the windshield. The suspect stole her van and a pursuit ensued.

Granville Post: Troopers rescue woman from fire in vehicle crash on State Route 161 on July 4, 2004: On July 4 at approximately 2:38 a.m., troopers responded to a crash and found the vehicle engulfed in flames. A trooper used his fire extinguisher to break out the front passenger window. Through the smoke, the troopers observed the driver unconscious. Troopers were able to control the flames enough and pull the driver from the vehicle and administer first aid until fire and emergency personnel arrived at the scene.  
Lima Post: Aggressive driver on Interstate 75 on August 6, 2005  
Lancaster Post: Disabled vehicle driver with warrant flees trooper on US 33 on January 29, 2006: While checking the driver of a disabled vehicle, it was discovered the driver had a misdemeanor warrant through local law enforcement. While waiting for the agency to arrive, the driver attempted to flee on foot. After a short foot pursuit, the driver was tased and taken into custody with no further incident. No one was injured.  
Piqua Post: Fatal crash involving two commercial vehicles and a Patrol cruiser on Interstate 75 on December 9, 2005: A trooper found a tractor-trailer in the median after it had slid off the road. While waiting for a tow truck, another tractor-trailer went out of control and slid off the road, striking the first truck head-on, killing the driving instantly. The trailer of the second truck also struck the patrol car. The trooper was not injured.  
Mansfield Post: Commercial vehicle strikes trooper and cruiser on Interstate 71 on May 13, 2005: A Mansfield Post trooper stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, a commercial vehicle struck the Patrol cruiser and the stopped vehicle before overturning on I-71. No major injuries were reported.  
Milan Post: Driver loses control on Ohio Turnpike on April 2, 2005: As a trooper and a wrecking service were attempting to clear the scene from a previous crash, a Ford Explorer struck the first vehicle as it was being loaded onto the tow truck. The wrecking service operator, who was standing along the right rear side of the tow truck, was struck and knocked over the guard rail.  
Dayton Post: Jeep crashes into bank during pursuit on August 18, 2002: A Dayton Post trooper attempted to stop a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee for driving without headlights. The suspect attempted to make a left hand turn into a private drive, but lost control and drove directly into a bank. Subsequent investigation revealed the driver had stolen the Jeep Grand Cherokee.  
Van Wert Post: Trooper witnesses late season tornado from vehicle on November 11, 2002: The tornado, which first touched down in southwest Van Wert County, created a damage path a half-mile wide. The tornado killed two people in the Van Wert area and destroyed 48 houses and damaged 40 others. There were no injuries to the trooper in the vehicle.  
Elyria Post: Trooper witnesses crash during crash investigation on December 12, 2003: A trooper had pulled over to investigate a crash, when two vehicles passing on the right failed to stop, causing the first vehicle to land on the second. No major injuries were reported.  
Jackson Post: Tprs. Folden and Roe on June 14, 2003: Already at the scene of a crash, an unaware car crashes into the side of the emergency medical vehicle and a passing vehicle.  
Chardon Post: Tpr. Davis almost struck on June 8, 2002: Tpr. Davis was on-foot conducting a traffic stop on westbound State Route 2 in Lake County, when a passing vehicle struck both Tpr. Davis’s Patrol car and the car he had pulled over. Tpr. Davis was struck by flying debris, but escaped serious injury.  

Mansfield Post: Tprs. Wood and Farley struck on March 29, 2002: Mansfield Patrol Post Tpr. Christopher Wood, and Bucyrus District Tpr. Charles Farley were investigating a crash on northbound Interstate 71, near milepost 166, when a passing vehicle struck Tpr. Wood standing on the side of Interstate 71 and struck the rear of Tpr. Farley's cruiser, with him inside.
