Patrol releases new information regarding
fatal hit/skip in August
Public Assistance is Requested
CANTON – The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Canton Post is releasing new information and requesting the public’s assistance regarding the fatal hit-and-skip the killed a woman in August. A forensic investigation revealed that the vehicle involved was equipped with a specific type of front grill.

The front grill was only produced from 1994 to 2002 and placed on the Chevrolet Silverado, Tahoe, and Suburban. The color of the vehicle is unknown. The Patrol is seeking assistance in locating this vehicle that is suspected in a hit-and-skip incident on August 31, 2007, on State Street in Lake Township in Stark County that killed Joyce E. Yoakam, 69, of Stark County.
