Patrol’s Motor Carrier Enforcement Inspector
Honored for drug seizure
FINDLAY – Motor Carrier Enforcement Inspector (MCEI) Harold A. Emnett, of the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Findlay District Commercial Enforcement Unit, received a Certificate of Recognition today for a drug seizure of 543 pounds of marijuana on April 11, 2007, in Hancock County. Colonel Richard H. Collins, Patrol superintendent, presented him with the award today during a ceremony at the Findlay District Headquarters.

MCEI Emnett stopped a commercial tractor for a vehicle defect and quickly identified numerous indicators of criminal activity. A Hancock County Sheriff’s Office drug detecting canine alerted to the vehicle and officers discovered and seized 543 pounds of marijuana.

The Certificate of Recognition is awarded for exemplary performance by on-duty Division employees or recognizes acts by others who deserve special recognition.

MCEI Emnett joined the Patrol in October 1990 as a maintenance repair worker at Findlay District Headquarters. In August 1996 he transferred to the Findlay Post as a Motor Carrier Enforcement Inspector. In February 1997 he worked as administrative staff for the Findlay Post. In January 2000 he transferred to his current duty at the Findlay District Commercial Enforcement Unit as a Motor Carrier Enforcement Inspector.

Originally of New Boston, MCEI Emnett currently resides in Findlay with his wife, Jill.
