Ohio State Highway Patrol and Ontario Provincial Police
to sign Partnership Agreement
What: Ohio State Highway Patrol and Ontario Provincial Police will be signing a partnership agreement

The Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be signing a partnership agreement that completes a five-day visit by the OPP to Columbus, Ohio. The relationship began in 2004 when the OPP invited the Patrol to Ontario to brief officers on the Patrol’s LifeStat 1.0 initiative. The relationship has developed over the years to include training and consultation on improved highway traffic safety and lowering traffic-related fatalities, as well as motorcycle safety, the use of aviation resources to supplement enforcement efforts, and vital information sharing for enhanced homeland security.
