Public’s assistance sought in South Carolina
Fatal hit-skip crash

COLUMBIA, SC – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is assisting the South Carolina Department of Public Safety - South Carolina Highway Patrol in asking for the public’s assistance in finding the person allegedly responsible for the death of a man in a weekend hit-skip crash in South Carolina.

A driver was killed on Interstate 77 on May 5 in York County, SC at about 2:40 pm. A gold or light brown mini-van was involved in a three-vehicle collision with a red pickup and a black BMW that resulted in the death of the BMW driver.

The mini-van left the scene and is described as possibly having Ohio tags and a white tag frame with the cursive name, "Mike's," written on it. Additionally, the mini-van may have red paint transfer on the left front corner and tinted windows on the rear.
