Noble Correctional Institution employee arrested for trafficking and bribery

CAMBRIDGE – A Noble Correctional Institution recreation worker appeared in Cambridge Municipal Court today after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers arrested him yesterday for accepting money and attempting to convey drugs into the Noble Correctional Institution.

Troopers charged Timothy C. Wilson, 46, of Hebron, with bribery, a third-degree felony, and drug trafficking, a fifth-degree felony.

Troopers and Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections officials initiated an investigation after learning that Wilson was planning to bring drugs to an inmate at the Noble Correctional Institution.

Wilson was incarcerated in the Guernsey County Jail. If convicted, he could face up to six years in prison and a $12,500 fine.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol investigates criminal activity on state-owned and leased property.
