Reward increased to $35,000 for information assisting in the arrest of escaped inmate John Parsons

CHILLICOTHE – The U.S. Marshal Service has authorized the payment of a $10,000 reward for information which leads to the arrest of John W. Parsons, bringing the total reward being offered to $35,000.

The sheriff continues to encourage the public’s involvement in the search for Parsons. Anyone with information regarding the location of Parsons is asked to call 740-772-9696 or 740-773-TIPS (8477) or 1-888-400-TIPS (8477).

Parsons has brown hair, brown eyes, mustache, and goatee. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 185 pounds. He also has a large tattoo of angel wings across the back of his neck.

The task force includes the Ross County Sheriff’s Office, Chillicothe Police Department, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation, U.S. Marshal’s Office, and Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction.
