Patrol seizes 20 kilos of cocaine worth $2 million
DAYTON – A Colorado man will appear in the Preble County Common Pleas Court today after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized 20 kilos of cocaine on Interstate 70 in Preble County.

Felix Olivo, 52, of Commerce City, Colo., was charged with possession of cocaine and trafficking of cocaine, both first-degree felonies, and possession of criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony.

Troopers stopped a 1996 Dodge Ram, driven by Olivo, for multiple traffic violations on eastbound Interstate 70, milepost 6, in Preble County at 9:54 a.m. Saturday. A Patrol drug-detecting canine alerted to the Dodge Ram and a probable cause search revealed 20 kilos of cocaine under the cab of the vehicle. The cocaine has an estimated street value of approximately $2 million.

Olivo was incarcerated at the Preble County Jail. If convicted, he could face up to 21 years in prison and up to a $42,500 fine.
