Patrol Trooper Injured in Crash on I-270 Ramp

COLUMBUS – Tpr. William S. Davis of the Ohio State Highway Patrol's Delaware Post sustained non-life threatening injuries in a single car crash on the ramp from State Route 315 northbound to Interstate 270 eastbound at 2:05 p.m. this afternoon.

Tpr. Davis was attempting to stop a vehicle for a speed violation when his cruiser struck a guardrail on a ramp to enter I-270 eastbound.

Tpr. Davis was transported by the Worthington Fire Department to Riverside Methodist Hospital.

The crash is under investigation by the Patrol.
