WEST JEFFERSON – The Ohio State Highway Patrol has located the subject, involved in a early morning pursuit, in a house on McConkey Road in Clark County. Patrol negotiators are in the contact with the subject at this time seeking a peaceful resolution.

At 8:09 a.m., troopers were investigating a possible stolen vehicle in the westbound rest area of Interstate 70, just inside the Madison County line. The suspect fled and exited the interstate through a right-of-way fence and into a farm field. Troopers located the stolen vehicle at a nearby residence and discovered ammunition in the vehicle.

The Patrol’s Special Response Team (SRT), Aviation section, troopers, and canine units from Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Clark County Sheriff’s Office, and the Columbus Police Department were involved in the search for the suspect.
