Patrol seeks assistance in locating suspect involved pursuit

COLUMBUS – The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s West Jefferson Post is seeking assistance in locating a suspect that eluded troopers this morning on Interstate 70 near the Madison County and Clark County line. The suspect was last seen on foot at 8:30 a.m. in Harmony Township in Clark County.

At 8:09 a.m., troopers were investigating a possible stolen vehicle in the westbound rest area of Interstate 70, just inside the Madison County line. The suspect fled in a red Chevrolet extended cab pick-up truck and exited the interstate through a right-of-way fence and into a farm field. Troopers located the stolen vehicle at a nearby residence.

The suspect described as a white male, 40, approximately 6’1”, slender build, long blond hair, clean shaven face. The suspect was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue shorts, and sandals.
